AMSTERDAM, 1 December 2025 – BUX is pleased to announce the appointment of Marlou Jenniskens as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 February 2026. Jenniskens brings extensive experience in digital wealth management, a strong track record in product innovation, and extensive leadership experience within ABN AMRO.
Jenniskens joins BUX from ABN AMRO, where she currently serves as Head of Digital Wealth Products. In this role, she led the development of next-generation investing and pension propositions and played a pivotal role in the successful integration of BUX into ABN AMRO’s broader wealth strategy. Her network and influence within the bank have been instrumental in creating the foundation for BUX’s long-term growth within the bank.
Within her new role, Jenniskens will also oversee the development of BUX’s savings proposition, a key strategic initiative that will bring saving and investing together in one intuitive platform. Her appointment marks an important step forward in BUX’s ambition to be positioned as a challenger platform.
Jenniskens will succeed Yorick Naeff, who has led BUX since 2020 and will transition into the role of Head of Innovation at ABN AMRO.
“It’s a proud moment to pass the helm to Marlou as BUX enters its next chapter,” said Naeff. “Her deep knowledge of digital wealth, her network within ABN AMRO, and her role in integrating BUX into the bank make her exceptionally well-positioned to lead the company forward. Marlou’s appointment reflects our ambition to strengthen the platform and accelerate innovation”.
With a clear vision for the future of financial services and a sharp focus on technology and client experience, Jenniskens is also an advocate for greater diversity in the financial sector. She has a strong personal commitment to supporting the financial empowerment of women and has been active in initiatives aimed at broadening access to financial knowledge and opportunities.
“Throughout my career and personal life, I’ve seen how powerful it is when people feel confident enough to take charge of their financial future,” said Jenniskens. “BUX has always stood for accessibility and clarity, and I’m excited to build on that foundation. I look forward to working with the team to create meaningful, intuitive experiences that help more people build their financial future with confidence and ease.”
